Right in the heart of Kure Beach, and just steps from the iconic Kure Beach Fishing Pier, Ocean Front Park & Pavilion is one of the town’s prettiest places to slow down, enjoy the ocean views, and experience some of the community events that make Kure Beach so special.
Located directly along the Atlantic, the park combines an open-air pavilion, grassy lawn, playground, seating areas, and easy access to downtown Kure Beach. Whether you're stopping by with the kids, catching some live music, or simply looking for a shady spot with an ocean view, it’s an easy addition to any Kure Beach day.

Even when there isn't an event happening, Ocean Front Park is worth a visit.
Grab a seat on one of the swings or benches and enjoy the ocean breeze, let the kids spend some time at the playground, or take a stroll toward the nearby Kure Beach Pier.
Because everything is concentrated within a small, walkable area, it's easy to pair a park visit with breakfast, lunch, ice cream, fishing, or a walk along the beach.
Oceanfront Events & Pavilion Rentals
Planning something special? The park's covered pavilion can also be rented for private events during select times of the year.
With the Atlantic Ocean as the backdrop, it's a beautiful setting for weddings, family reunions, birthday celebrations, showers, and other gatherings, especially if you want the coastal scenery without putting your guests directly in the sand.
The pavilion and adjoining lawn can be reserved together for larger gatherings, and tables and chairs are available as part of pavilion rentals.
Availability and restrictions apply, particularly during the busy summer season and major holidays, so contact the Town of Kure Beach Recreation Department well in advance if you're interested in reserving the space.
Parking
Public parking is available in marked spaces throughout the downtown Kure Beach area. Seasonal paid parking enforcement applies, so be sure to check posted signs and current parking regulations when you arrive.
Once you're parked, this is a great area to explore on foot. The pier, beach, park, restaurants, and other downtown stops are all close together.

Even without an event, we love Ocean Front Park around sunset: grab something to eat nearby, find a swing overlooking the water, and finish the evening with a walk out onto the Kure Beach Pier.
